About This Session
Description
The session focuses on building partnerships to improve, supplement, and deliver student literacy services. It covers defining a partnership, discussing its importance, identifying ways to leverage partnerships, and how strategic partnerships can benefit your program and students.
The goal is to help participants understand that partnerships are a magnificent way to unite and serve the community. Together, we extend our reach and create greater impact for our students and community.
Literacy is a partnership. Literacy looks like this.
What we'll cover:
The session’s objectives include defining a partnership and understanding the difference between partnerships, collaborations, and coalitions. We will also discuss the importance of partnerships, when to partner, and where to find the right partnerships. Finally, it will dive deep into how to leverage and build partnerships and how strategic partnerships can benefit your program and students.
The target outcome for the session is for participants to leave with an outline strategy for where their organization can benefit from strategic partnerships, identify 2-4 organizations/community providers to build a partnership with, and demonstrate how the partnerships will enhance services and support the organization’s mission.
During the session, participants will have time to discuss their programs and/or literacy services, ask questions, learn from other attendees, and potentially build a new partnership (or contact).
