About This Session

Description

In this workshop we’ll apply plain language strategies to the communication formats you use at work: emails, handbooks, flyers, forms, and more. We will talk about content like flyers, schedules, program expectations, and training materials.

What we'll cover:

In this workshop, we’ll:

  • Describe what plain language is (and isn’t) and why it matters
  • Apply plain language strategies to relevant examples from the adult education field such – as intake materials, web content, flyers, and more
  • Identify several strategies to incorporate into any of your written materials

We’ll practice reviewing materials for clarity and applying plain language strategies together.
