After our Annual Survey closes, we hold focus groups with literacy folks across Texas to hear more about what you need right now, and how we can best be helpful over the coming 12 – 18 months.

2026 FOCUS GROUP #2

FOR CLASSROOM INSTRUCTORS

Tuesday, October 6, 2026

10:00 AM – 11:00 AM

Online

This session is particularly for classroom instructors.

So if you:

  • Teach ESL
  • Teach ABE/HSE/GED
  • Volunteer in an adult literacy classroom
  • Offer classroom assistance
  • Lead or assist in family literacy programming

…or do anything else in direct program delivery, this is the focus group for you!

We’re holding another focus group, for program administrators – find that calendar listing here. 

We can’t promise that we can do everything you want, but our ears are open, and we want to hear ALL your ideas! Tell us what you need, what you want – and what would need to happen for your wildest literacy dreams to be fulfilled.

Plus, this year, our new Executive Director, Katie Welch Ph.D., really wants to meet as many literacy folks as possible! These focus groups online are just the start of her plans to hear from as many of you as she can over the coming months.

This session is particularly for program administrators.

  • Coordinate programs
  • Manage volunteers
  • Are a program director
  • Lead fundraising efforts
  • Manage marketing and communications

…or anything else that’s not direct program delivery, this is the focus group for you!
