The symposium will be in The Commons (marked in red above).

IMPORTANT - Parking Information

The West Campus Garage has paid parking. Literacy Texas will cover that cost for you, but you MUST register your vehicle ahead of time for us to be able to do this.

If you don’t register your vehicle, you will still be able to park, but you will not be included on the Literacy Texas account and you will have to pay for your own parking on the day.

You’ll need a voucher code to complete the registration process – we’ll send your code via email.

How to register your vehicle

  1. Click here to start your vehicle registration
  2. Select “Department-Hosted Event”
  3. Select “Literacy Texas DFW Symposium”
  4. Enter voucher code (will be sent to you via email when you complete symposium registration)
  5. Select permit type “(EVT-FP) West Campus Garage”
  6. Select the active date
  7. Add vehicle info
  8. Confirm

How to park on the day of the symposium

You don’t need to print or prepare anything, as long as you’ve registered your license plate using the link above.

The UTA cameras will verify each license plate, which will be associated with the Literacy Texas permit.

You can park anywhere in the garage. UTA recommends avoiding the “visitor” section since it’s reserved for paid parking, but you won’t be cited if you park there. You don’t need to have anything on your dashboard or scan anything – just park and leave!

When you’re ready to leave, you can simply exit the garage without any further action.
