STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS TO GET STARTED

Follow these steps to access the app using your phone:

  1. Scan the QR code in the welcome email with your phone’s camera and click the pop-up link that appears at the bottom of the camera’s view – this will take you to the appropriate app and app store for your device.
    OR
Click one of the buttons at the bottom of the email (to download from the App Store or from Google Play).
  2. Download the app.
  3. Tap on the menu icon (three stacked horizontal lines at top left).
  4. Select “Tap to log in” at the top left.
  5. Enter your email address (the one you used to register, which will be the email address that received the welcome email).
  6. Accept the terms and conditions.
  7. Click “Continue.”

At this point you will receive the welcome email again to make sure you can easily access your personal passcode. This will look exactly like the email you already received, but it isn’t a mistake!

9. Enter your personal passcode, found in the welcome email.
10. When the app prompts, please “allow notifications” so you don’t miss out on important announcements and updates.
11. Next, update your profile:

  • Click on the menu icon you used earlier (three lines at top left corner) and select “Edit Profile.”
  • Add your choice of: interests, pictures, URLs, and socials (or leave them blank).

This is also where you select the box (or not) for networking GDPR consent, which allows you to share your profile and connect with other attendees.

TROUBLESHOOTING

PROBLEM: QR code is blocked/You can’t see a QR code in the welcome email

TRY THIS SOLUTION:

Look at the top of the email and select “unblock content” or”show images” or “add as a trusted sender.” This should reveal the QR code in the email message.

Then scan the QR code with your phone’s camera and start the process at #1 above.

OR TRY THIS SOLUTION:

Click the linked button “Check Your Profile.”

Either of these steps will direct you to the appropriate app store for your device, then follow the steps listed above.

PROBLEM: The app won’t download.

TRY THIS SOLUTION:

The app is only for phones and tablets. Computers cannot download apps, so make sure you’re on your cellphone or other personal device such as a tablet or iPad when you start the process.

Still can’t figure it out? No stress! Make sure to see our app helpers at conference check-in after you arrive in San Marcos, and we’ll do our best to get things sorted out for you.

TIPS FOR GETTING THE MOST OUT OF THE APP

Don’t forget to enable notifications!

Make sure you enable notifications when prompted or you will miss out on important notifications and announcements.

Need to make sure you get PD credit?

You’ll use the “scan” button at the bottom of the app home screen to check in to each session.

You must use the app to receive PD credits. This is the only method we are using to track attendance for PD credits this year.
