About This Session
Description
This interactive workshop is designed for Adult Education and Literacy (AEL) teachers who support students working toward GED or HiSET completion. Grounded in real program implementation, this session focuses on how to use Essential Education’s GED® and HiSET® Academy alongside Practice Plus to identify learning gaps, guide instruction, and accelerate student outcomes.
Participants will engage in guided discussions and hands-on activities using sample reports to practice identifying student needs and building targeted learning plans. The session will highlight timely strategies for addressing common challenges such as student persistence, test readiness, and “stop-out” risk.
Attendees will leave with practical tools and step-by-step strategies they can immediately apply in their classrooms to support individualized instruction and increase completion rates

In this workshop, we’ll explore how to combine instruction and targeted practice to create efficient, data-driven pathways for student success. Participants will actively work through examples and collaborate on strategies they can use right away.

- Analyze LMS reports to pinpoint learning gaps and guide instruction
- Build individualized learning paths using Academy and Practice Plus
- Practice using data to make instructional decisions through interactive activities
