Join us for an informational session focused on statewide efforts to ensure every Texan can access and benefit from high-speed, reliable internet. Representatives from the Texas Broadband Development Office (BDO) will share an overview of the office’s current initiatives, as well as spotlight impactful projects led by stakeholders throughout the state.
Participants will gain insight into Texas’s broadband goals and discover ways to support broadband adoption in their own communities.

Texas Broadband Development Office
Lauren Weber is the Digital Opportunity Outreach Coordinator for the Broadband Development Office (BDO) under the office of the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts. The BDO is focused on closing the digital divide by expanding broadband access, adoption, and digital literacy across Texas.
Lauren joined the BDO with a background in education, most recently as a public school teacher in Austin ISD. Her firsthand experience in the education sector exposed her to the impact of the digital divide on her students and their families, motivating her to work towards bridging that gap for all Texans.
