In today’s fast-paced job market, ESL learners need more than just language proficiency—they need the workplace skills that will help them succeed in real-world environments. Opening Doors to Workplace Readiness: Empowering ESL Learners with Ventures is a dynamic, game-show-inspired session that will explore how the Ventures curriculum can equip students with both the language and the practical skills necessary to excel in the workplace.
Throughout the presentation, attendees will ask the age-old game-show question: “What’s behind door number 1?” to discover four key ways the Ventures curriculum is designed to prepare all students—from Basic to Transitions—for the workplace.
What we'll cover:
Through lively activities, we’ll explore the following key areas:
- Discover how the unique scaffolding of career readiness skills in the Ventures curriculum takes learners from basic levels to more advanced workplace skills as they transition toward real-world success.
- Uncover the transferable skills, such as teamwork and communication, that are embedded throughout the Ventures curriculum, helping students build the essential competencies needed in the workplace.
- Learn how Ventures enhances digital literacy, preparing students for the technological demands of modern workplaces.
