Transforming Outcomes: Strategies for Program Excellence

About This Session

Description

Measurement matters.

We need to know how well we are helping learners achieve their goals to improve and grow our services. In this session, we will look at planning a Local Theory of Change, which is a roadmap for how we expect to impact our local communities.

Then we will focus on developing and strengthening literacy programs using the Results-Oriented Management and Accountability (ROMA) Cycle for continuous improvement. Additionally, we will discuss how to use outcomes from the ROMA Cycle to demonstrate program effectiveness to potential funders.

What we'll cover:

  • Local Theories of Change: Identify your agency’s assumptions, values, strategies, services, outcomes, and indicators, and explore how they inform long-term goals.
  •  Understanding Community Needs: Assess and identify the needs and resources of your community.
  • Mission-Driven Planning: Use your mission statement and assessment data to plan effective programs.
  • Strengthening Programs: Identify your organization’s resources and gaps to enhance existing programs and develop new ones.
  • Effective Implementation: Gain insights into implementing services and strategies that make a real impact.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Observe and report results to ensure accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Evaluating for Success: Evaluate your programs to keep enhancing their effectiveness.
  • Demonstrating Impact: Use outcomes from the ROMA Cycle to show program effectiveness to potential funders.
  • Connect your ROMA outcomes and local theory of change to narratives and evidence of demonstrated effectiveness to share with potential funders.
