Announcement from Literacy Texas Board Chair Ernest Lewis III

Search for an Executive Director

Texas continues to be a strong economic engine for the nation and the world. It is a most opportune time to strategically position Literacy Texas as a key contributor to ensure that everyone can find a pathway to success.

Literacy Texas is soliciting applications for the position of Executive Director. We are seeking candidates with a passion for service and a desire to close educational and economic gaps. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker who can strengthen coalitions, bring innovation, upgrade the use of technology, and attract new business partners. As a society, we are on the verge of ever-accelerating growth. Advancing literacy and skill levels and keeping pace with the use of artificial intelligence and economic transformation will ensure that those we serve have a place at the table.

If you are up to the challenge and want to be considered for this position, please review the job description, and submit your resume to our executive search consultant by emailing: [email protected]

We congratulate outgoing Executive Director Steve Banta on his upcoming retirement, and look forward to celebrating his many contributions to Literacy Texas in recent years.
