About This Session
Description
Learn about the digital divide in rural and Latino communities, factors associated with digital disparities, research conducted during the COVID-19 pandemic, and strategies to promote digital access and communication.
What we'll cover:
The COVID-19 pandemic highlighted the digital divide that exists within the United States. As digital communication grows as a mode of communication between home and schools, parents with limited access to computers and/or internet were at a disadvantage.

Learn more about research conducted in a small rural school district as we surveyed the experiences of rural Spanish-speaking Latino caregivers during COVID-19. This breakout session would be of particular interest to instructors working directly and indirectly with parents.
