Group Chat IRL – Volunteer Trends

About This Session

Description

Group Chat IRL (In Real Life) sessions bring small groups together for guided conversation. This session is for anyone who works with volunteers – gather and share tips, techniques, and observations about volunteerism in 2023.

What we'll cover:

Literacy organizations across the country have traditionally relied heavily on volunteers – as tutors, instructors, office workers, and other roles besides. But is volunteerism in America changing? Does the adult and family literacy field need to change too?

Gather with others who work with volunteers around a table for some group chat – facilitators will guide the discussion with some on-topic questions, but they’ll do so with a light hand. So bring your own questions and topics of current interest to you, and join the conversation!

This session is for anyone who manages, directs, or otherwise works closely with volunteers in their organization.
