Description

Ever look at your English learners and wish you had a better understanding of their classroom experience?

This session will put you in the shoes of language learners learning the four different skills through classroom roleplays with the opportunity to unpack the experience with fellow participants. Through this experience, participants will gain a deeper understanding of the challenges ELLs face, the importance of clear modeling and explanations, and how effective scaffolding helps support language learning.

What we'll cover:

  • Speaking a new language as a beginner
  • Writing a new language as a beginner
  • Reading when developing language fluency
  • Building vocabulary with unfamiliar symbols
