Differentiation Makes a Difference: Supporting Students at All Stages

About This Session

Summary

“Teacher, this is too easy.” “Teacher, this is too hard.” What do you do when you have one class (in-person and/or online), one curriculum, and many students at different English proficiency levels?

What we'll cover:

In this hands-on session, we will use Burlington Core lessons to explore ways to differentiate instruction and adapt activities to keep all students engaged and appropriately challenged. Together, we will share ideas and develop strategies that you can use to meet the diverse learning needs of each of your ESL students and enrich your multilevel classroom, in any learning environment.

Teachers will take a deep dive into an open discussion of teaching multilevel classes. Including the advantages and challenges and walk away with solutions. Teachers will learn different ways to differentiate instruction and modify activities to keep all students engaged.
