A graduate of the University of Oklahoma\, she began her career teaching in Texas before returning home to pursue nonprofit work in adult literacy. There\, she discovered her passion for combining education and service.  Since 2018\, Laura has led OLC’s statewide efforts to support the literacy efforts of adult learners and literacy organizations through grants\, resources\, and professional development.
