The 2023 DFW Literacy Symposium is co-presented by Tarrant Literacy Coalition and Literacy Texas.
The symposium has the theme “Empowerment Through Literacy” and will focus on skills for people who instruct or administer ABE and HSE/GED adult literacy classes. The symposium sessions will be grouped into three “tracks” – one for advocacy, one for ABE instruction, and one for skills specific to low-level adult literacy classes.
Note: This year, there are two symposia in the DFW area. This one focuses on ABE/HSE, as noted above – if you’re looking for ESOL professional development, please click here.
This symposium will be held on

Check-in for registered participants will open at 8:00 am.
This symposium is offered free of charge to educators, volunteer tutors, ESL teachers, and other library and nonprofit professionals who work in the fields of adult and family literacy.
