ProLiteracy Accreditation
As a move to recognize programs using best practices throughout their operations, ProLiteracy awards accreditation. The award is made only after completion of the application process and a thorough on-site evaluation by specially trained evaluators. The program also provides a standard of performance for programs who want to improve their operations. Accreditation by ProLiteracy acknowledges literacy organizations that are distinguished by superior professional leadership, effective programs, committed governing boards, and outstanding volunteer support.
Literacy Texas aids Texas literacy programs in acquiring this designation through paying the fees and providing technical support through the accreditation process.
