Advocacy Committee
The responsibilities of this committee are to develop an advocacy plan for Literacy Texas and to make recommendations as to its implementation.

Conference Committee
The responsibilities of this committee are to provide volunteer support for the planning and implementation of the Literacy Texas Annual Conference

Governance Committee, chaired by Literacy Texas Vice President
The responsibilities of this committee are to provide ongoing review and recommendations to enhance the quality and viability of the board in the areas of member responsibilities, board composition, board education, board effectiveness and leadership and to prepare a list of nominees of officers and board members for election.

Marketing Committee
The responsibilities of this committee are to develop a marketing plan for Literacy Texas and to make recommendations as to its implementation.

Membership Committee
The responsibilities of this are to develop ways to increase the membership of Literacy Texas

Resource Committee
The responsibilities of this committee are to develop a funding plan and timeline.

Training Committee
The responsibilities of this committee are to coordinate training activities throughout the state and to develop the guidelines for such training.
